Bio:
Diego Cortina is a global market access and pricing executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. He has held senior roles at companies including Biogen, Novartis, Bayer, and Abbott, driving access, pricing, and launch strategies across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America.
Currently serving as Director of Pipeline Global Market Access Strategy at Biogen, Diego leads access planning for early-phase assets in neurology and rare diseases, providing strategic input into payer research, trial design, and go/no-go decisions. He has played a key role in the global commercialization of multiple sclerosis therapies, including the successful launch of Vumerity and the NRDL listing of Tecfidera in China.
Throughout his career, Diego has built strong partnerships with payers, regulators, and patient organizations, combining strategic insight with a deep commitment to public health. He has negotiated risk-sharing agreements, led regional advocacy campaigns, and authored policy-focused publications.
Diego holds a Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Anáhuac México Norte and a Master’s in Health Policy Planning & Financing from the London School of Economics and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and is based in New Jersey.
